You can achieve the perfect consistency you desire and enjoy an evenly blended drink any time of the day or night.
With easily readable measuring lines on the jar’s front you can accurately mix your ingredients to make the healthy drink your heart desires. Whether you’re wanting to make dips, drinks, sauces or snacks, this is an excellent and versatile pick. A user friendly functionality allows you to simply put your ingredients in the cup, twist on the blade, line up the tabs and connect to the power base. Included in this comprehensive 11 piece set is the cross blade, two lip rings, short cup, a 200W motor base, party mug, a 10 second recipe guide, two Stay-Fresh resealable lids, tall cup and a practical portable to-go lid. Next up is a two in one silver Ninja Master Prep blender and food processor perfect for chopping, food preparation & frozen blending. With a sizeable 48oz pitcher and 16oz chopping bowl this product is listed as our best versatile blender under $50. Whether you’re blending frozen fruit into a summer smoothie or crushing ice into snow for slushies, the stacked blades are sharp but extremely effective. The chopper blades provide precise, equal chopping of fresh ingredients. The food processing blades are very sharp, so when chopping vegetables remember to remove one to avoid creating a puree instead.
Two jars of useful sizes make this blender easy to use. The single large ‘one touch’ Pulse button lets you control the power. It enables a safe, simple and ergonomic action with a 400W power pod. You can swiftly change from the chopper bowl to the pitcher depending on what you’re making. What we like about this product is its thoughtfully designed anti spill pitcher splash guard and chopper splash guard to keep all the goodness inside. It also has an easy flip pour spout and a wide no slip base to make sure the blender stays steady while it’s shaking up everything inside.
The two cup processor provides constantly successful blending, chopping, dicing, mincing and pureeing capabilities. Be careful not to get the power head wet—a damp sponge will wipe it clean. The blades, containers, splash guards and storage lids can all be washed in the dishwasher’s top rack.

From blending, chopping and crushing to pureeing & whisking, what can’t you do with this multipurpose KOIOS Oxa Smart hand blender? Its variable 12 speed functionality can be twisted on the dial for ultimate and accurate control. You can blend on a low speed or push the silicon Turbo button for continuous or Pulse action. The heavy duty copper core electric hand blender motor unit packs a punch at 800W. The hand blender can be easily attached to and removed from the motor with a 360° seamless connection. This product has components made from solid stainless steel and comes with slip proof comfortable ergonomic grip for easily single handed use. Features to consider while buying the best blenders under $50
Your blender under 50 dollars is going to become your go-to kitchen item, so you must like how it feels, sounds and works. Our easy checklist of features to consider before buying your blender will help you to pick the best one you need.
If you’re wanting to blend as much as you can in one go, opt for a blender such as the BLACK+DECKER BL2010BP and Ninja QB900B. While neither should ideally be filled to their maximum capacity for optimal product use, both of these have large jug sizes and a high cup capacity.
The stronger the motor, the higher the power. You’ll want to blend and whizz away, so a motor with a strong wattage will enable you to blend with the necessary strength. Powerful options offering a high motor wattage are the BLACK+DECKER BL2010BP and KOIOS Oxo Smart hand blender.
Typically, you blend for a quick and easy snack. The faster the motor, the prompter the results.
Largely dependent on the quantities you want to blend, cup capacity will determine what you go for.
A large proportion of a blender is made from plastic, so you’ll want to ensure yours is BPA free for health reasons. BPA free plastic is particularly safer to drink from, which is essential if you’re transporting the travel mug in your car or using your blender to make baby food.
Noise is an important factor to note in your kitchen. The quieter your blender, the more enjoyable it’ll be to use, such as the KOIOS Oxo Smart hand blender that is known for its quiet ‘low noise’ blending feature.
What will you be using your blender for? If you know you’ll often chop carrots, make sure you get a blender with strong blades such as the Ninja QB900B. The same goes for crushing ice for that refreshing smoothie—you’ll want blades that can do this easily and powerfully as found in the BLACK+DECKER BL2010BP. Pick the best blades for your required function.
You’re looking for something that’s easy to use and quick to clean. Most blender parts can be first rinsed out and then washed in the dishwasher. All of the blenders we’ve reviewed are dishwasher safe.
You’ll want to read the terms and conditions on the warranty to know what’s included. Is it limited, are there allowances for faulty parts that need replacing, or is there a customer satisfaction guarantee?
Ideally, you’d like to buy a blender that comes with some additional attachments, which will really make it worth your spend. Of the ones we’ve reviewed, the Magic Bullet Blender and KOIOS Oxo Smart hand blender offer the most additional attachments for enhanced use.
Make it delicious
There are things you never thought you’d be able to make using your blender. Here are some tips on how to maximize taste when using yours: – Throw in some granola, muesli or nuts for added crunch in your breakfast blend. – Add honey and almond/coconut milk to your fresh or frozen fruit for a lip smacking smoothie. – Go green! Combine fruit and vegetables together for an energy packed smoothie or shake (think apple, avocado, cucumber, kale, kiwi, spinach…!) Coconut water is a refreshing addition. – Don’t forget beetroot. Beets and blueberries go extremely well together. – Oh so minty: add a few mint leaves or a little thyme to make a strawberry and banana shake. – Hey pesto! Parmesan cheese is the essential ingredient to your perfect blender-made pesto. – Getting a little chilly? Try some smooth chicken and coconut milk soup to warm up. The possibilities are endless—just experiment and give it a go.
Tips and tricks
There’s nothing quite like a refreshing icy drink but you need to know the trick to crushing ice in your blender—with the least damage to your blades and motor. Here are some basic tips to crushing ice in your blender: 1. It’s always a good idea to read up in your blender’s instruction manual to check that your blender is strong enough to actually crush ice before you try it. 2. Then, it’s best to first remove your ice cubes from the freezer and let them stand on the countertop for three to five minutes. 3. The secret: use small ice cubes. Even manually crushing some cubes before you place them in the blender jug can help you out. 4. Next, add your ice cubes to the blender jug, filling it roughly to a third without packing the ice too tightly. 5. Close the blender lid and ‘Pulse’ for about three to five minutes, stopping every few seconds. You’ll do this roughly 10 times and you can even add a little water or juice to help separate the ice cubes from sticking to one another & quicken this step. 6. If your motor’s still happy, increase your blender to medium speed for roughly 10 seconds. Switch off the blender, open the lid and check to see if you’re satisfied or repeat the process again until you’re happy. Depending on your desired texture you can put the final product in a container to freeze again or enjoy immediately in that cool icy smoothie.
By now you know you can use your blender for a variety of things, but if after some time your blender starts smelling strange, there’s a quick and easy way to fix this: Chop up a lemon and add it to the blender with half a cup of water. By blending these together the lemon attracts the bad odors and leaves behind a fresh, clean smell so you can continue using your blender without losing your appetite.
You’ll want to take the utmost care of your best blender under $50, so be sure to read the package insert to know what and what not to do. To ensure your blender’s in good working order, keep it clean.
Don’t wait too long after use—clean it immediately to avoid build up of caked on food.
You can even fill the jar halfway with warm water and a drop of dishwashing liquid which you then blend—covered—for a few seconds. This instantly removes the larger pieces that might be stuck to the blades and sides. If your blender has a cloudy appearance, adding a coarsely chopped lemon to your dish soap and warm water mix will help make it shine again. An alternative to using lemon juice is to make a mix of ¼ cup baking soda, ¾ cup white vinegar and ¼ cup water. Pour this into the blender jar and blend at high speed for roughly 30 seconds. After removing the jar from its base, clean its interior using a soft cloth or sponge, rinse and dry.
It’s best to start out at the lowest speed with the lid cap off so that the steam can escape. Be careful of not overfilling the jug as you’ll need more space for the liquid to increase. Some Oster style blenders enable you to occasionally blend hot beverages without any issues. Too much blending of boiling hot liquids can wear out the o-ring, but luckily this is inexpensive and simple to replace.
Sharpening your blender’s blades can revive them if they’re old or no longer functioning optimally for chopping and pureeing. If sharpened correctly with the proper tools, you can save yourself from replacing the blades or the entire blender and prolong your blender’s life.
Do you now have a better idea of what kind of blender you need? If you’re still undecided, we suggest you first consider our Editor’s Best, the Hamilton Beach Personal Blender, because it’s compact and easy to use with its nifty travel mug.
